Tyrannosaurus Rex Excavation Kit
This kit is cool! Unearth the bones by digging away at the clay (in this case plaster block), it takes time and patience, but very exciting as you come across new bones. This kit comes with a specifically designed digging tool, and a little paint brush to brush the dust off the bones as you go, just like the professionals do. Once you've unearthed all bones, clean them off with a damp cloth and follow the assembly diagram to put the skeleton together. The pieces slot together really easily, and it comes with it's very own cardboard display stand to display the dinosaur afterwards, it's like bringing the museum to your bedroom! Mums and Dads if you're looking for something to keep your children busy for several hours then this is the kit that'll do it. It's recommended for ages over 8, which is a pretty good age bracket, as the digging does require patience and a bit of power on the end of the digging tool. We also recommend that the excavating of this dinosaur is done outside or somewhere that the dust isn't going to get into everything. Once complete the dinosaur is about 19cm in length.
Kit includes:
Plaster block with Tyrannosaurus Rex skeleton embedded
A digging tool
Brush
Cardboard display platform with fun facts printed on the back.
It also comes with some soft wax for positioning the joints, but we didn't find it necessary to use this.
